a little archaic, and i will give you an example. we now have live entertainment in san francisco, which allows amplified music until 10:00 p.m. if the conditions has no entertainment, and the entertainment, it also includes this limited live provision. we have determined in the city that this legislation is good -- good legislation. there's no conditional use requirement to have this. a lot of people today want to have food, drink, and be able to have some music. how can we get the limited live entertainment excluded from the know amplified or no live entertainment excluded on the transfers? >> that is going to mostly driven locally. most of the conditions you'll ever see on an abc license are because we rely, to a great extent, on the police department and local officials to determine what is best for their communities. i'm not trying to pin this on you guys or blame you guys, but we do try to work with you. we do not tend to want to overrule the police department very often. now that said, i get a fair number of petitions and appeals to me. typically, they are from the neighbors. i wa

, why the move into the heart of san francisco? >> well, we were on third street, in what is left of san francisco's industrial district , and we got lonely, really. [laughter] we saw real estate values dropping precipitously. as far as we were concerned, that was a good thing because it enabled us to move into market street. the city had encouraged us to do so, too, as they were very much interested in revitalizing market, 6th and market, which is essentially part of the tenderloin. we thought there were a lot of opportunities there. we know something about making urban environments vital. given the present political move, people are open to new ideas. that is true across the country. our burners are being asked to come into centers of various cities for aetna. -- right now. whehowever, as soon as things gt better, they are escorted out. but we might begin to break that cycle. it is just wonderful to walk out on the street and see the world walking by. >> are you giving the twitter deal? >> yes, we are. we just founded a new nonprofit. black rock arts foundation, which is dedicated to s

dynamic. in particular here in san francisco the market is very strong for real estate. even as the city negotiates for extensions of leases and renewals we are finding prices of buildings we have been previously leasing are going up tremendously. i understand the tightness of the market. i'm not as family with daly city or with the peninsula. i think i need more information to be convinced on this lease. san francisco i understand. * given the value of real estate and value of site you own, i'm curious as from your interest point you want to lock in the sfmta ten years. given the fact the value of this property could go up why it is in prologis's interest to lock in when you may find a tenant that has the ability to pay far more than the city of san francisco. >> that is a great question. it is an analysis we constantly do in our very high demand areas like the city of san francisco. but the decision i made was to provide the certainty of this investment. locking it into a longer term. most groups that we were talking with were interested in a longer term, because it is very challengin
